Dinesen Douglas is made of Douglas wood from select European forests. The trees are between 90 and 120. Some are up to 60 metres tall and almost 1 metre in diameter. The stands of trees have been nurtured for generations according to the best principles of forestry.
Dinesen makes high demands on the raw wood and receives only the best part of the trunk. When the carefully selected logs of Douglas are sawn up, we get planks in many dimensions and several grades. This means that we can offer a number of exciting possibilities, and if that is not enough, we are ready to show particular, individual considerations so you can have the Dinesen floor that fits you and your project the best
Making floor planks which are up to 15 metres long requires know-how, dedication and persistence as well as painstaking diligence throughout the entire process. Dinesen’s production process is technically modern. Our strong foundation is the dedication of our staff. Every single plank is controlled many times and every knot is checked to make sure that colour, size and stability match the dimension and grade of the plank. Any knot cracks are repaired using a special knot glue.
The planks are supplied untreated with a wood moisture content of 8–10%
